As a nursing student at the beginning of my course I have found this book invaluable. Lecturers at college have suggested various books to help us with our studies but I find myself returning to the Atlas of Anatomy every time. The book was a perfect choice when it came to reminding me of the basic biology I was taught over 6 years ago. It is straightfoward and very easy to read but at the same time, concise and comprehensive. As it journeys through the entire human body it provides information (with a detailed glossary) supported by diagrams, pictures and charts.
I would thoroughly recommend this book to both students learning about biology and parents who want to provide their children with a book about anatomy that will educate and encourage a love of human biology.

Having taken a slight interest in biology after studying about the human body at school in science, i borrowed this book off my mum and i have to say that i found it very interesting.
It is split into eleven chapters in total, as it works its way through the entire structure of the human body. Chapter One: Body Structure, Chapter Two: Skeletal System And Skin, Chapter Three: Muscular System, Chapter Four: Nevous System, Chapter Five: Endodrine System, Chapter Sox: Respiratory System, Chapter Seven: Cardio-Vascular System, Chapter Eight: Lymph-Vascular System, Chapter Nine: Digestive System, Chapter Ten: Excretory Systems, and finally Chapter Eleven: Reproductive System.
