The author, Anna G.Edmonds, is well-known for her previous books, Biblical sites in Turkey (co-authored with Everett C.Blake) and Turkey's Religions Sites. Knowledgeable about Turkey for over 50 years, she has traveled throughout the country many times. She brings to her work a long interest both in the people and the places she describes.
