There are over five thousand weights from the Suna and İnan Kıraç Foundation Collection at the Pera Museum, ranging in date from the Ancient Near Eastern Civilizations, Greek, Roman, Byzantine, Seljuk, and Ottoman periods. This large collection will be published in a number of separate volumes as part of the series of Corpus Ponderum Antiquorum et Islamicorum. The first volume covers 635 Greek and Roman weights. The Roman truncated spheres are included in the second volume, which covers the Late Roman and Byzantine weights. The majority of the weights in the Suna and Inan Kirac Foundation Collection were acquired over a period of thirty years by Inan Kirac
