Açıklama
Based on actual events in the city of Istanbul, Berji Kristin gives life to people who own nothing. These people come to the city for work and make their homes upon the garbage hills from whatever material is available - tin, cardboard, cast-off wood. The wind blows down these fragile structures during the night, taking away babies "asleep in the roof-cradles." The people rebuild. The city sends trucks that knock down the shelters and huts. Again they rebuild. In time, industries that provide jobs rise up near the stench of the garbage hills. But the factories bring a river of blue hot water that can peel away layers of skin; they send clouds of the most beautiful colors into the sky and rain snow upon the hills even in the summer. Each exploitation becomes part of history; the people from the garbage hills compose songs about the blue water, write poems about the wind.
