The events held in the Çankaya and Tarabya Presidential Palaces are defined by pairing exquisite, delectable delicacies with a friendly yet ceremonial hospitality. President Abdullah GuI and the First Lady Hayrünnisa Gul welcomed tens of thousands of guests to events in the palaces between 2007 and 2014. Among these guests were heads of state, young people, teachers, ambassadors, artists and the families of fallen soldiers. The reception halls were completely renovated in 2010, and they can now host events that accommodate between 50 and 2,000 guests.
In traditional Turkish culture, the dinner table plays an important role. It is the center of hospitality, pleasant conversation, mutual understanding, sharing and blessing. The dinner table at events hosted by the Presidency of the Republic of Turkey transforms into a meeting place that contributes to that ongoing culture of dialogue and co-existence.
