L'Illustration, Paris, 1936. Softcover magazine, plus advertisements Large heavy folio, printed on high-quality glossy paper. Tipped-in plates, multiple gilt and silver decorations with some pages printed on thick tinted card-style paper. Cover illustration lightly embossed. Feature: Flowers, illustrated by D. Bouchène, an article on Hans Memlinc in Bruges (11 reproductions colors including 4 full page size). Other illustrators include Drian, Maurice Lalau, Louis Vaudoyer, Pierre Desbois, Henri Cluzot and Jean Gallotti. Very good with some tape repairs at ends of spine, a bite out of back wrap corner. Some light and scattered age toning. All text in French.
