Five years ago, the Critical Education Network (CEN) ignited a transformative academic journal known as Rethinking Critical Pedagogy (RCP). Comprising teachers, professors, graduate and undergraduate students, publishers, and website designers, CEN is a voluntary organization committed to fostering emancipatory education, both locally and globally. This initiative was a pivotal response to the prevailing neoliberal culture to foster critical perspectives in education and challenge market-driven, oppressive, and dehumanizing educational policies. Our collective intention in launching RCP was to create spaces for scholars (especially young scholars and educators), writers, and educators who are deeply committed to emancipatory education.
